Spring is in the air, Boris' new roadmap has been announced, and we're delighted to be hatching plans to re-open The Terrace for al fresco dining from lunch time on Monday 12 April, assuming this is confirmed as the date Step Two starts.
The Terrace is the perfect place to meet and eat with friends or family as we start to ease out of lockdown. Outdoor tables can be booked for rule of 6 groups, and we can't wait to see you.
Opening hours will be:
Lunch: 12noon to 2pm
Afternoon tea: 2pm to 5.30pm
Dinner & drinks: 5.30pm to 8.30pm
Come rain or shine, you shall dine! Outside on The Terrace is a really lovely, sheltered spot with beautiful views over the beach and down to the sea. To help us with social distancing, table booking is strongly recommended. Please call us on 01493 842000 to book your table. Our online booking system is not available for al fresco dining.
To comply with Step Two rules, The Terrace roof must be wide open at all times ... and we all know what they say about April showers. Of course we are all hoping for similar weather to last spring when not a cloud was seen in the sky, wouldn't that be amazing?! Just in case, we've ordered some rather large parasols which will clip onto the tables so you can carry on eating and having fun whatever the weather.
The Terrace is fitted with superb outdoor heaters for days when it's a little bit nippy, but it'll definitely best to come dressed for the weather. Suncream is also an option in case the sun is splitting the pavements on Great Yarmouth seafront.
To whet your appetite as we all count down the days to Monday 12 April, we'll be launching our new Spring menu shortly. Watch this space!
Imperial Hotel is currently open for business travellers, and we anticipate re-opening to all overnight guests from Monday 17 May assuming this date is confirmed by the Powers That Be. If you're planning a seaside staycation this summer, we'd love to welcome you to our 4 star hotel.
