Wedding Ceremonies at Imperial Hotel
Imperial Hotel, Great Yarmouth is licensed for both civil wedding and civil partnership ceremonies.
If you would rather not get married in church or have your civil partnership ceremony in a Registry Office, the Imperial Hotel would love to host your special day.
Our spacious seafront venue is very versatile. We can host an intimate ceremony of 10 guests or less with ease. Or if you dream of saying your vows in front of all your friends and family, we can easily seat up to 100 guests to witness your ceremony. We also lay out a red carpet so you can walk down the aisle in style.
It's also possible to have part of your ceremony on the beach opposite. Just ask the registrar about options if having the sand between your toes floats your boat.

Sandown Suite Ceremonies
The Sandown Suite at the rear of the hotel is a self-contained wedding venue with a civil ceremony licence. The room is on two levels, with a large ballroom on the lower level where up to 100 guests can be seated for a wedding or partnership ceremony.
This spacious, airy room has floor to ceiling windows looking out over the grassy recreation ground towards the town and a large chandelier. For ceremonies, a red carpet is laid down the central aisle, with seats either side for your guests.
Sandown Suite has it's own bar, perfect for a quick drink before the ceremony for your guests, or for a 'vin d'honneur' aferwards.
The Sandown Suite is the function room used in all our great value wedding packages, starting from just £1,250 for a wedding ceremony and reception for up to 25 people. It is big enough for indoor photos should the weather be inclement, however many guests plan to have their photographs taken outside on the beach or in the Venetian Waterway Gardens, which are both opposite the hotel.
The Sandown Suite has a separate side entrance, with a door directly onto the car park. Guests can also arrive via the front doors and reception.
Victoria Suite Ceremonies
The Victoria Suite is at the front of the hotel and encompasses the Princess Alice, Louise and Beatrice Rooms.
The Victoria Suite has a civil ceremony licence, and the room can be made larger or smaller to suit your precise requirements. This flexible space has been used to host intimate but beautiful weddings for just 4 guests and the registrar, smaller weddings or partnership ceremonies for up to 20 guests, as well as much larger ceremonies for up to 80 people.
The Victoria Suite is more traditional in décor as it is in the Victorian side of the hotel. It has two large fireplaces, one at either end of the main room, large mirrors, and big picture windows, and boasts fine views out towards the sea.
It is also possible to have a small wedding ceremony on the adjoining Terrace, however the official element of the ceremony has to be conducted inside the Victoria Suite.
